I recently made a trip to the local casino. This five-reel slot machine features Bose Surround Sound in a deep and comfortable captain’s chair, interactive bonus games, a progressive jackpot and colorful graphics. The particular version of the slot from Oz I played was a nickel slot that had a $5 max spin. In order to hit the progressive, you had to spend $5 per whirl.

Wizard of Oz Bonus Games

The bonus games on the Wizard of Oz online slots are pleasant to the eye and the surround sound really turns up the volume when entering a bonus game. Additionally, the lightly vibrating chair adds to the excitement of the various bonus games. The bonus game is initiated when an Emerald City Bonus Symbol appears on reels 1, 3, and 5. From there, you choose one of the three symbols in order to receive either the Emerald City Bonus – which is tied to the progressive jackpot, or the Flying Monkey Wild Bonus. The third option is an instant credit reward. In scouting out the machine, I noticed the bonus games moved left after each offering with the bonus on the far left sliding over to the far right.

The progressive would trigger when and if you found all of the Oz characters before going to see the wizard. I never got the opportunity to play the Emerald City Bonus game, however I loved the Flying Monkey Bonus Game.

With the flying monkey bonus round, the machine begins chanting from the actual movie “O-Ee-Yah! Eoh-Ah!.” Repeatedly the guards chant while the machine runs wild on you. The pace of the music picks up, as does the speed of the reels. When prompted I had to touch the screen, which released the flying monkeys. The flying monkeys would come on and rip off characters to give wild cards. On two separate occasions, I was rewarded with a “big win” during the flying monkey bonus!

Additionally, Glenda the Good Witch occasionally pops into the picture. With a wave of her wand, she makes entire rows wild. Once she did me the favor of making three rows wild and again I received a “big win.”

Overall, the experience with the Wizard of Oz slot machine was profitable and stimulating to the senses. I lost all track of time and my mind cleared, as I was mesmerized with all the of the animation and sound of the slot.
